What does one unit cost you delivered from each origin?

The Lanes screen shows what one unit of each product you buy costs you, delivered to your warehouse, from each origin. Price, duty, freight, insurance, inland transport and fees add up to the landed cost.

  1. Choose the product at the top. Each row of the table is an origin and a supplier, sorted by landed cost. The cheapest is marked “Best”, and the origin you buy from today “Current”.
  2. The last column shows how much more a year you would pay, for your yearly quantity, buying from that origin rather than the best one.
  3. Click a row. The panel on the right lists each part of the cost and where it comes from: the price from your declarations or your quote, the duty from the rules, the freight from your contract, a quote or the container index.
  4. Click a figure with a dotted underline to see how it was worked out.
  5. If you know a figure better, press “Edit” next to it and enter your own. The lane is computed again from the date you give.
  6. If there is a cheaper origin, the button under the panel puts the two side by side and shows the yearly saving.

The VAT you pay on imports isn't counted in the landed cost, since you can recover it; tick “Count recoverable VAT” above the table if you want it included.
